Eid and Shopping, A Different Perspective.

As a citizen of Metropolitan city neighboring Pacific sea, it is dependably leverage for each Karachite to visit Karachi Beach frequently, as Ramzan evenings are sacrosanct for love and for the most part individuals are occupied in offering their petitions to God and some are doing shopping for eid. I was looking for themes so I chose to visit Karachi Beach a.k.a Sea View to catch a few photos and compose story, I frequently surf pictures of diverse shoreline during the evening which every time snatches my consideration.

It was around 10 pm during the night of Friday, the street was clear just couple of autos out and about with no indications of public transport, on the left half of the street couple of advertisement boards are put on karsaz for advertisement which looks very appealing during the evening, I took a few photos as we were in car and understood safe to take the camera.

When we approached the street of Do Darya, the street were vacant as there is no vehicle, just couple of cars were behind us that was an excellent perspective, road lights were looking delightful.

Few couples and couple of young men were sitting at the wall of Do Darya to appreciate the cool wind as it was 35C in the city, yet with no lights no it is unthinkable for a photographer r to take pictures, we further move towards the traditional beach Sea View of Karachi to appreciate the occasions. Not very many individuals were there sitting on the Beach, I figured out how to converse with a few individuals over yonder that how they are wanting to commend their eid. The primary fascination at the Sea View is Dirt Bikes, Rides enhanced with neon glowing lights which were snatching the consideration of all in dull, distinctive street food sellers and a few individuals with diverse items are offering on Beach see as Eid is close they are striving to acquire more cash to satisfy the longings of their family and friends and family.

While we all are occupied in Eid shopping and our requests to God, we haven't see that there are numerous other people who are notwithstanding living up to expectations day and night just to win a little sum which will have the capacity to spread grins on the characteristics of their friends and family, in spite of the fact that it was Friday night 23rd of Ramzan, still subsequent to conversing with such a variety of individuals nobody had the capacity purchase new garments for their family in light of the fact that their business is down. When I was conversing with these individuals and taking their photos, they feel great and exceptional that somebody is taking enthusiasm for work that we are doing, this is a sort of performance appraisal we can provide for those individuals by purchasing stuff from them, in light of the fact that these little merchants are not working together to fabricate domains and establish brand, they are accomplishing and working hard for the sole purpose of living, so we as a human has an obligation to persuade these individuals.

Soldier Bazar.. One of the oldest societies in Karachi

Soldier bazar is one of the oldest civilization of Karachi, it is near Jamshed Town in Karachi in Garden East area. The beautiful thing is that most of the people from different religious backgrounds are living there peacefully, 99% of the population is Muslim but Hindus, Christians even people from different sectorial background Punjabi, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Muhajir, Balochi, Parsi, Memon and some other famous casts of Karachi all are living in one area with peace and brotherhood.

As a street photographer and story writer,It is always my desire to visit Soldier bazar because of its old heritage and different types of people. So I got a chance in last month of june, It was a hot day, we were on our city tour with I AM KARACHI team to explore the famous places of Karachi, soldier bazar is a beautiful place covered with old heritages, When I enter the area, I noticed that mostly people who are living and go there are living their life below the poverty line, as the front market is full of Lundaa (Old things).

During our discussion with locals there, It was surprising to know that one shopkeeper FAHEEM who was running the Chicken shop told us that, "There is no mobile snatching and robbery activities in Soldier Bazar, you are free to roam on the streets on whatever time of the day, no one will dare to loot you even touch for no reason, this is one of the peaceful society in Karachi."

It was 12:00 am in the morning and our team were excited to collect as much possible information about Soldier bazar, the best part was that we had no fear of snatching of our valuables, all of us were roaming on the streets holding cameras in our hands tension free, every shopkeeper and local pedestrians  welcomed us and gave the first hand knowledge, at the starting point of Soldier Bazar there is a Ganne k Juice Wala (Sugarcane Juice) who is the most preferred drink of summers season for the whole locality.

On the right side of the road besides the shop of Sugarcane juice, there is an old building of Imtiaz Khan, we were sitting there enjoying the desi juice and wondering how old this building was soon after that some people sitting at the floor of the building called us and introduce us to the owner, the untold story was really interesting and many of us were unaware of that, Imtiaz Khan was the recent owner of this old building and the only son of Bahadur Khan who worked with Britisher's in 1929, he used to sell grass to earn his living

Still Imtiaz is living his life peacefully in Soldier Bazar, no matter what happened, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

According to him people come here to relax and share their whole day thoughts, also those who have cattle's also take them here to feed them along with a good company.

The local citizens sitting at the traditional Takht (Bed) also welcomed us and share first hand knowledge about Soldier Bazar and this building.

Main Road From where Soldier Bazar Starts
Gulistan Muhammad Shafi road is the starting point of Soldier Bazar, where mostly beggars have occupied the place on footpaths, while this footpath is also shop for someone where they sell their goods, when I was walking on the streets I found a little girl sitting quietly and trying to break some nuts which she had in her hands with the help of a stone, she was happy by breaking the nuts and eating it.

Well while going through the markets of Soldier Bazar I had taken different photos, the main building of the front market is an old one.

There is a church located at Soldier Bazar, named St. Lawrence, the father of the church allowed us to visit from inside and take the pictures of the beautiful building.

There is also a Hanuman Temple at soldier bazar, which is around 1500 years old, when we are on our way to the temple by asking different peoples, when we reach the entrance it was like a tunnel that proceeds to the temple, a lady was sitting there, she was old and dull her eyes face and neck were surrounded with wrinkles, but her eyes were witness of the history.

She welcomed us but she was little frightened to share details, but soon she started to tell us that this is the first Temple who gets spiritual literature from India and later on it get distributed in whole province of Sindh. We tried to capture the pictures from inside but couldn't get permission due to security reasons.

There are lot more places to visit at soldier bazar, I explored some famous ones and the great people who took the prominent place in my heart forever, but one building really grabbed my attention because it was just in centre of the road and divides it.

13 Things that we do during university life..

1)  New Life: Freedom

Mostly boys after passing their intermediate and A Levels, get a freedom to go to university for the whole day and enjoy their life fully which previously they were not able to do so because of the time restrictions in their schools and colleges. So just stepping in university they feel a great difference in their life, and most the boys get out of control and start acting like cool and changing their getup and attire. They adopt the policy of first impression is the last impression and without wasting their time they start to grab the opportunity to get the best girl of their badge.

2) Becoming Cool

During classes they always pay attention and try to make their impression by taking part in group discussions, class assignments and answering the questions of teachers. Try to sit behind the Row of girls so that they can hear them properly.

3)  Becoming Mod

While girls are opposite, some girls try to become extra cool by chewing fresh up or any other mint gum and making bubbles, just to grab the attention of the boys, not this case goes for all some girls are silly and really don't care how people will see them they don't ignore every one and enjoy their new life in university. On the other hand some girls are so childish that still they behave like a small child a.k.a Mummy/Daddy Girls.

4)  Making Lifetime Friends:

No matter from which family background you are, you always ended up making a best friend of opposite gender, to which you always share your personal life and feel comfortable with. Some openly disclose their friendship and some make it private and stick to themselves only. That girl/boy will always help you in your studies and gives sincere advice in your relationship complications.

5)  Phaddaybaz:

Most of the boys feel like hulk and one man army type character when they become senior in university, and most of the fights took place during the ragging of new intakes, some fresh students are also tough and they never allow anyone to rag and make fun of them in front of others and this is the point where quarell starts which sometimes lead to a street fight. Mostly these fights didn't get report to the administration because it get solved with in the group.

6)  First Love

For sure, within few months of university life any girl will gonna blow your mind and conquer your heart, every time you saw her Violin start to play in background, whenever she smiles you think its because of you and most of the time the girl didn't even know that someone is mad for her and when she saw you, you will disappear.

7)  Copying Assignments

There is always one person in class who work hard to complete the assignment on time, and the whole class copies from it called (CHAPA), boys/girls are so fast that they can copy the whole week assignment in an hour time with effectiveness and efficiency, we all act like zombies i.e we don't listen nor see anything else other than our work, we don't exactly know What we are copying, we have no concern with the meanings, we just want to complete the assignment.

8)  Always Forget Homework

Sometimes we willingly choose to copy the assignments because we feel too lazy to do, but sometimes we forget and remember on the day of submission, the most awkward moment when we step in class and feels like earthquake is coming and the whole world is revolving.

9)  Kangle Friends

We all have friends who are ever ready and active in making outing plans and every time they give lame excuses at the time of payment, like they forget their wallet and enjoy the whole meal.

10)  Tharki Friends

Always our friend request to make a way for them to become friends with your girlfriend's friend so that they can date together and enjoy, and always say "Bhai ki bhi setting kara na"

11)  False Hopes

we always give false hopes to our friends who are about to fail in course, that "Tension matle sath fail honge, meri bhi watt lagi hui hai" this one sentence give the moment of relaxation to the next friend he will not feel alone. And we know that we will pass the course and end up saying luckily I get passed.

12)  Morning Classes

Morning classes are the toughest in university life, in every class we wake up counting that how many absences we have left, and try to convince us saying we have enough absences to survive the course.

13)  Sending Friend Requests

We always send friend requests to our crush and girl who are course mates on Facebook, as it is the easiest way to get connected and convey the message, some girls acts like sorry mate I cant add you as this is my personal ID and my family doesn't like male friends.
