A Journey to Memon Goth, Damloti Wells & Samandari Baba Tomb

As a desert and dry mountains lover, I generally want to go to interior Sindh and Balochistan to get peace. On this Sunday we three companions chose to ride towards Samandari Baba Tomb by means of Memon Goth. The minute we crossed Model Colony, sights were begin changing and appears like we went into any village. On both sides of streets there were trees and on the back there were ranches of local people living there. Numerous farmhouses are perfectly worked along the street for the individuals who need to avoid city life.

After thirty minutes of drive, we achieved a standout amongst the most serene and cool spot, there was an old tube well on side of the street which is utilized for the watering system of farms. The well was so much profound that we attempted a considerable measure to see the last point however we proved unable. Crisp vegetables were put on the highest point of tube well and on the back agriculturists were occupied in reaping their yields.

We spent 30 minutes sitting over there getting a charge out of the chilly breeze. There was an old tree in which local people has attempted to frame a joyride, which I was difficult to appreciate because of my weight. It was one of the best places to sit and make tracks in an opposite direction from city life.

Subsequent to spending some memorable moments, we proceeded with our voyage further towards the most established wells of Karachi known as Damloti wells, that zone is close to Model Colony and Malir Cantt, Damloti is a town acclaimed for its wellspring of subsoil water that is supplied to Karachi. Two same Damloti wells were on both sides of the street, we stopped out bike and begin to investigate those strange wells. A board has been put before first well telling about his operation and history. The well was quite deep and built with red blocks. From its appearance it looks like from numerous years nobody is taking care and offering consideration regarding its significance.

After exploring the main well, we moved further to the opposite side of the street to investigate the second one, the street was blocked not by vehicles but rather by the cattle, both the wells are same fit as a fiddle and from inside. Dead honey bee homes were found on the windows of well, there was nobody to whom we can get some information about its usefulness and history. A wooden pathway was made to achieve the base of the well where the working valve was set, it was spoiled and not able to move. We were alarmed to go close to the valve however by one means or another we figure out how to go and take pictures from inside.

The front door was of wood and practically broken, I sneak inside and it looked awful. There were still a few wells left to cover, so we moved further towards the rest. Investigating at the well no. 6 it looks brilliant from the street and the palm trees that were planted in a row.

Despite the fact that it was a tight street yet at the same time heavy traffic is coming, a couple of yards away there was another well on side of the road. On my last visit in 2012, the tree on the highest point of the well was not as large as it is presently that it practically covers the entire well and it's difficult to glimpse inside. There was a spooky house behind it, appears like nobody set out to venture inside, there were dead honey bee homes and one live home too inside. Inside the building, there was stairs going in the basement, we attempted to advance toward the cellar however it was truly unthinkable as it was a little passage, and the stairs were broken from the focal point of the pathway. After exploring this old building, we proceed with our voyage towards the road to Samandari Baba Tomb, We found some other little wells on side of the streets and indications of some old building structures which were completely destroyed The view of bridge of link road was amazing from the side road. The bridge was beforehand shut for heavy traffic yet now it is shut for all by putting obstructions. As we were on bike so we oversaw by one means or another to cross the bridge. We moved gradually behind one truck for 60 minutes, it was hard to overtake. After we crossed that road we stopped at the highest hill on the side of road.. The entire way was surrounded by stones and bushes, it was troublesome for somebody to trek incase he/she is not wearing shoes.

After few minutes of trekking, we came to the highest point of the mountain. The perspective from that point was stunning and it was truly peaceful. We spent an hour sitting over the hill appreciating the cool breeze. Yards away some nearby shepherds were coming to us with their cattle. They were likewise amazed to see us, the issue was that we don't know how to convey in Sindhi and they don't know Urdu. Be that as it may, by one means or another w managed to communicate, they were local people living in Charsana Channo and frequently come here with their cattle. They were cheerful when we bring pictures with them and sit for quite a while.

Finally we make our way to the Tomb,. The Tomb was nearly ten minutes from there, there was a sign board on Main Road demonstrating the course to the tomb. The way towards it was planted on the both sides by excellent green trees. We stopped our bike and entered the tomb, it was clearly mentioned that Photography and Videography is not permitted. So I pack my camera, I took a few pictures from my mobile camera as others were many who were taking snaps. We left our shoes on the counter. The entire Tomb was flawlessly organized by white marble. Worshippers were distributing desserts outside the premises where the Grave of Samandari Baba, appears like their wish work out. There was a well outside, they thought of it as that it was found by the Saint and this water was named as (AAB E SHIFA).The Tomb was average and there was no weird action going on. Individuals were simply coming and presenting Fatiha. Inside the Tomb, there was LANGAR going on, they were giving Rusk and tea to every one who were sitting over there.

On the top of the Tomb, there was the cave where Baba used to sit and do worship. The entire spot is changed over into a little room now and hollow passage was shut.
